Client pulled out from a driveway in front of an approaching car and a car accident happened. Our client was thrown from his vehicle and suffered a closed head and back injuries. The police gave our client a ticket for the accident.
After an aggressive investigation within several days of the accident we were able to locate witnesses who established the approaching car was speeding prior to the accident and therefore at fault for causing the accident. Despite the fact that our client was not wearing a seat belt, our investigation led to the insurance company offering its policy limits of $100,000. We then obtained an additional $41,500 from the client’s own car insurance company under the client’s UIM coverage.
